Honor Our Teachers would like to recognize and honor Mrs. Sharon Gabion from Kirtland Early Childhood Center!
Ms. Sharon Gabion is a 3y & 4y KECC Preschool teacher. Her principal would like to recognize her for her ability to implement STEAM activities into her curricula. One great example of this is when she used STEAM content to supplement the children's classic "The Three Little Pigs". Four and five year old students tapped into their architectural skills to design houses made of straw, sticks, and bricks. Students even tested the strength of their houses using a hair blow dryer! Ms. Gabion is an expert in creating lessons and activities that include realia and relevant props to engage students! Her integrated curriculum design allows children to explore language, math, science, and the arts simultaneously. Thank you Mrs. Gabion for all that your do!
